I’ve just uploaded a couple of tracks from recent recording session I did with alto saxophonist Andrew Van Tassel. The tracks also feature Matthew Sheens on Piano, Jackson Hill on Bass.

Most of these excerpts are from a demo I recorded last year with Michael Thomas (alto), Takeshi Ohbayashi (piano), and Tamir Schmerling (bass). Several of the tracks also feature vocalist Jihye Kim. The compositions are all my own, and although I never got around to mixing them I thought I’d put them to good use on this new site to showcase some of my more recent writing. I’ve also included a couple of tracks from some great piano trios I’ve been involved with. The other tracks labeled “NECJO” are a selection of my favorite recordings from my time with NEC Jazz Orchestra, which I was very lucky to be a part of for two years. In other news, I am delighted to announce that this March I finally made the move to New York after 6 years living in Boston. It’s early days still, but I hope have to some new projects and gigs on the go in the coming weeks and months.
